The line up and tour dates for this year’s Backcountry Film Festival has been announced by its organiser, Cam Walker.

Among the usual run of thrilling winter adventure films, this year will also include the work of cross-country skier Mike Garrett and his 12-year-old daughter, Charlotte.

“Mike and Charlotte’s film, ‘The Hunt for White October’ covers the pair’s late-season expedition to Mount Loch in the Victorian high country,” Walker said. “The fact that Charlotte worked so hard on this film makes it special in its own right and we’re excited to have her along to introduce the film in Melbourne.”

Alongside ‘The Hunt for White October’, a dozen other short films featuring locations from all over the world will prepare viewers for Australia’s upcoming snow season.

The dates for this year’s Backcountry Film Festival are currently set for the 30th of May (Melbourne) and the 26th of July (Sydney).
