The Return to the Cueva de la Pena Colorada
In Wild Issue #163 (Jan-Feb 2018) we followed Andreas Klocker and a team of international cave divers as they attempted to find a route connecting the entire 75km of the Sistema Huatla cave system in Mexico. While unsuccessful in completing a full traverse, the team explored completely new areas of the cave system. Late last year, Klocker and a new team returned to Mexico to explore a new section of the cave system, beyond Sump 7. We recount their latest adventure below.
